About the role

Join the RAC SMR division as a Mobile Vehicle Technician, delivering planned maintenance and repairs directly to members' homes or workplaces across Horsham and surrounding towns. Work a structured schedule of pre‑booked appointments, allowing you to focus on quality work without emergency call‑outs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing and comprehensive vehicle diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• Carry out in‑depth repairs typically done in a workshop, ensuring safety standards are met.
• Provide members with clear advice and recommendations based on inspections.
• Complete vehicle safety checks aligned with RAC standards.
• Manage parts ordering and documentation through the RAC mobile service platform.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with at least 2 years’ experience, OR 5+ years’ experience as a vehicle technician/mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 penalty points.

• Competitive base salary of £40,178 with on‑target earnings up to £52,000.
