Mobile Vehicle Technician – Milton Keynes

About the role

Join the RAC SMR division as a Mobile Vehicle Technician, delivering planned servicing and repairs directly to members’ homes or workplaces across Milton Keynes and surrounding areas. You will work from a fully equipped van, following a digital schedule of pre‑booked appointments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing and in‑depth repairs normally done in a workshop.
• Run vehicle diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• Carry out vehicle safety checks in line with RAC standards.
• Provide members with advice and recommendations based on inspections.
• Manage parts ordering and use the RAC mobile service platform to complete jobs efficiently.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with at least 2 years’ experience, or 5 years’ experience as a vehicle technician/mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 penalty points.
• Willingness to work 40 hours per week, core hours 8:30 am‑5:00 pm, and 1 in 4 Saturdays.
