Mobile Vehicle Technician – Stevenage

About the role

Join the RAC’s Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division as a Mobile Vehicle Technician, delivering planned servicing and repairs directly to members’ homes or workplaces across the Stevenage area.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine vehicle servicing and safety inspections.
• Conduct diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• Carry out in‑depth repairs typically completed in a workshop.
• Provide members with advice and recommendations based on inspections.
• Follow RAC standards for vehicle safety checks and documentation.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with at least 2 years experience, or 5 years experience as a vehicle technician/mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than six penalty points.
