Mortgage Advisor (Self-Employed)

About the role

We are seeking a self‑employed Mortgage & Protection Adviser to join our award‑winning team in Workington. You will work primarily remotely, visiting local branches 1‑2 days a week, helping clients navigate the home‑buying process while ensuring they have appropriate protection.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with clients to understand their mortgage and protection requirements.
• Provide honest, expert advice on a wide range of mortgage products and protection options.
• Guide customers through each stage of the home‑buying journey, making the process clear and confidence‑building.
• Stay up‑to‑date with market trends, lender criteria, and regulatory changes.

Required profile

• CeMAP qualified (or equivalent).
• Previous experience in mortgage advising.
• Excellent communication skills and a genuine people‑focused approach.
• Organised, self‑motivated and able to manage your own workload.
