Mortgage and Protection Paraplanner

About the role

Our client, a leading financial planning firm, is seeking a Mortgage and Protection Paraplanner to work closely with the Director and advisory team. This fully office‑based position operates on a four‑day week and offers a clear pathway to develop into an adviser role.

Key responsibilities

• Research mortgage and protection solutions using industry sourcing systems.
• Prepare research reports and recommendations to support client advice.
• Submit mortgage and protection applications to lenders and insurers.
• Assist the Sales Progression team in moving cases from application to completion.
• Liaise with clients, lenders, insurers, solicitors and other third parties.
• Chase outstanding information and proactively move cases forward.
• Draft client correspondence, summaries and supporting documentation.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance requirements are met.
• Support the development of business processes and client experience.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through technology and automation.

Required profile

• Relevant mortgage and protection qualifications.
• Experience within a mortgage and protection environment.
• Ability to research solutions independently and manage multiple cases.
• Excellent telephone and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Proactive, curious and eager to learn, with a desire to progress to an adviser role.
