Mortgage Underwriter – Buy to Let Specialist

About the role
We are partnering with a highly successful lender that seeks an experienced Buy to Let Mortgage Underwriter to join its expanding underwriting team. The role focuses on complex BTL loan files, ensuring robust risk management and smooth drawdown of funds for borrowers.
Key responsibilities
- Liaise with valuers, solicitors and other intermediaries.
- Ensure all loan files are complete, accurate and compliant with the company’s lending criteria.
- Prepare and submit credit papers with precision.
- Maintain a professional and knowledgeable communication style.
- Collaborate across the business to keep deals progressing efficiently.
Required profile
- Analytical and methodical thinking.
- Strong sense of ownership.
- 3‑5 years of specialist experience as a Mortgage Underwriter, preferably in Buy to Let.
