MOT Tester – Full‑time (Henfield)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced MOT Tester to join a well‑established family‑run automotive business in Henfield. This is a full‑time permanent position working Monday‑Friday 08:00‑18:00 with a Saturday morning shift (09:00‑13:00) every three weeks.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out MOT tests for Class 4 and Class 7 vehicles, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
• Perform mechanical and service work as required alongside testing duties.
• Use up‑to‑date IT and diagnostic systems to record results and diagnose faults.
• Maintain a clean, safe workshop environment and collaborate with a small team supported by administrative staff.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience in a dealer network or large independent garage.
• Valid MOT licence.
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle (rural workplace).

Required skills

• MOT testing for Class 4 and Class 7 vehicles.
• Vehicle diagnostics and fault‑finding.
• Mechanical servicing and repair.
