MOT Tester – Full‑time in Portsmouth

About the role

We are looking for a qualified MOT Tester to join Halfords in Portsmouth. You will be responsible for carrying out MOT inspections and supporting the workshop with light vehicle maintenance when not testing.

Key responsibilities

• Perform MOT tests in line with legal standards and issue certificates.
• Maintain accurate records of test results and vehicle information.
• Assist the workshop team with light vehicle maintenance tasks.
• Ensure the testing area is clean, safe and compliant.
• Promote the refer‑a‑friend scheme where applicable.

Required profile

• Current MOT Testing Licence (or be willing to obtain one).
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 9 penalty points.
• Team‑player attitude and willingness to help colleagues.
