Motor Underwriter (Hybrid)

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Motor Underwriter to join a growing underwriting team within a well‑established insurance business. Working closely with the Underwriting Director, you will support sales teams and make commercial underwriting decisions on personal lines motor business.
Key responsibilities
- Assess and respond to underwriting referrals.
- Manage relationships with insurers and present bespoke motor risks.
- Support underwriting performance and monitor insurer loss ratios.
- Act as the primary underwriting contact for the sales team.
- Assist with scheme performance analysis and portfolio management.
Required profile
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in personal lines motor underwriting.
- Proven experience with motor insurance schemes.
- Knowledge of bespoke or niche motor risks.
- Strong understanding of underwriting performance metrics and insurer loss ratios.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
