Motor Vehicle Lecturer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Motor Vehicle or Motorsport Lecturer to join a well‑established Engineering Faculty in Weybridge, Surrey. You will use your industry knowledge to deliver vocational teaching that prepares students for careers in the automotive and motorsport sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging theory and practical sessions across Motor Vehicle and Motorsport programmes (BTEC, City & Guilds).
• Support learners in developing technical and employability skills required by today’s automotive industry.
• Provide constructive assessment, feedback and personalised tutoring.
• Collaborate with employers to keep curriculum industry‑relevant.
• Contribute to curriculum development, student recruitment and college activities.

Required profile

• A Degree, HND or equivalent vocational/professional qualification.
• City & Guilds or IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Procedures.
• Professional experience in the Motor Vehicle/Motorsport industry.
• Knowledge of modern electric and hybrid vehicle technology.
• Strong teaching and learner‑engagement skills, with willingness to obtain a teaching qualification if not already held.
