Move-On & Resettlement Officer – Housing

About the role

This full‑time position supports households living in temporary accommodation to transition into stable, long‑term homes, primarily within the Private Rented Sector. You will work directly with individuals and families, helping them identify suitable housing, overcome move‑on barriers, and connect with employment, training and support services.

Key responsibilities

• Assess housing needs and develop personalised move‑on plans for each household.
• Identify and secure appropriate private rented sector properties.
• Build and maintain relationships with landlords, letting agents and partner organisations.
• Manage a varied caseload, ensuring timely progress and documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to coordinate support services.

Required profile

• Experience in housing, homelessness, resettlement or tenancy support services.
• Knowledge of the Private Rented Sector and tenancy sustainment.
• Strong case‑management and partnership‑working abilities.
• Empathetic, professional approach to supporting vulnerable households.
• Understanding of safeguarding and homelessness legislation.
