MRF Assistant Team Leader

About the role

Join Veolia’s Material Recovery Facility as an Assistant Team Leader, supporting the day‑to‑day operation of the site and ensuring safety, quality and environmental standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in controlling the daily running of the site.
• Check that plant equipment and operatives comply with company and Health & Safety standards.
• Carry out tasks in line with the Quality and Environmental Management System and relevant regulations.
• Report any defects or faults on plant and mobile machinery to site management immediately.
• Oversee collection and quality checks of recycled material to meet market specifications.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an operational or manual‑handling environment.
• UK driving licence and own transport (site location requires travel).
• Experience managing operational teams.
