Multi Site Maintenance Technician

About the role

Huhtamaki is seeking a Multi Site Maintenance Technician to ensure the reliable operation of equipment across several production facilities. You will carry out planned repairs, preventative maintenance and breakdown interventions while supporting the company’s sustainability and safety goals.

Key responsibilities

• Execute planned repairs and preventative maintenance using the Computerised Maintenance Monitoring system to minimise downtime.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns, log activities daily and clear maintenance backlogs, including overtime when required.
• Source, identify and order spare parts to reduce repair time.
• Monitor energy usage, especially during idle periods, to help lower the carbon footprint.
• Apply lock‑out/tag‑out procedures and maintain hygienic maintenance practices.
• Supervise contractors to ensure health‑and‑safety compliance.
• Train staff on Standard Operating Procedures, planned maintenance and information systems.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records for PAT tests, fire safety equipment, asbestos surveys and other statutory inspections.
• Travel between multiple sites as needed to complete maintenance tasks.
• Report accidents, incidents, near‑misses and non‑compliance in accordance with company procedures.

Required profile

• Experience in industrial maintenance with a focus on preventive and corrective work.
• Ability to work across several sites and manage overtime when required.
• Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Willingness to train colleagues and supervise external contractors.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Preventive maintenance planning and breakdown repair.
• Spare‑parts identification and ordering.
• Energy usage monitoring.
• Lock‑out/tag‑out procedures.
• Fire safety equipment testing (extinguishers, alarms, pumps, detectors).
• Asbestos survey procedures.
• PPE and safety harness inspection.
