Multi Skilled Engineer – FMCG Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer to join a leading FMCG food manufacturer that has recently invested in state‑of‑the‑art production lines. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving machine performance across both day and night shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out reactive and proactive maintenance, including monthly Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) tasks.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on production equipment.
• Maintain gearboxes, pumps and other critical manufacturing machinery.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to maximise equipment efficiency.

Required profile

• Apprentice‑trained engineer with a background in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Experience in fast‑moving manufacturing environments.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Willingness to undertake extensive training to broaden skill set.

Required skills

• Electrical engineering fundamentals.
• Mechanical engineering fundamentals.
• Experience with PLC systems and automated machinery.
• Knowledge of Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) systems.
• Hands‑on experience with gearboxes and pumps.
