Multi Skilled Engineer - HVAC Bias

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Multi Skilled Engineer with a strong HVAC focus to join a leading facilities management team. The role is mobile, covering retail sites across Birmingham and the wider Midlands, ensuring all building services remain operational and safe.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on HVAC and related building services.
• Oversee statutory compliance work and ensure health & safety regulations are met.
• Supervise and assist subcontractors, guaranteeing high‑quality workmanship.
• Serve as the primary contact for site managers, providing updates and excellent customer service.
• Maintain accurate records of work activities and compliance documentation.

Required profile

• City & Guilds (or equivalent) qualification in HVAC, Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
• Proven experience in a maintenance or facilities management environment.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and building statutory compliance.
• Ability to work at heights, manual handling up to 20 kg, and hold a full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to participate in a call‑out rota.
