Multi Skilled Engineer - Nights

About the role

The Multi Skilled Engineer works the night Panama shift (18:00‑06:00) at Morrisons' manufacturing site in Bradford. You will ensure that all production equipment runs reliably, minimising downtime and supporting the delivery of high‑quality products.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine inspections and preventive maintenance on production machinery.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns, diagnose faults and perform repairs or coordinate external specialists.
• Adjust machines and manage changeovers to keep production lines running efficiently.
• Monitor and calibrate equipment to meet accuracy, quality and safety standards.
• Work with production teams to identify process‑improvement opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, schedules and spare‑parts inventory.
• Follow health‑and‑safety procedures and company policies.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (ONC, BTEC) in mechanical/electrical or electronic engineering.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems used in the FMCG sector.
• Proactive attitude with a commitment to equipment reliability.
• Good understanding of HACCP principles; IEE wiring regulations (17th edition) advantageous.
• Excellent communication and decision‑making skills.
