Multi Skilled Engineering Technician – Blow Moulding

About the role

The Multi Skilled Engineering Technician will support the Blow Moulding department by delivering both scheduled and reactive maintenance. You will work on a 4‑on‑4‑off shift pattern, ensuring equipment is quickly returned to service and continuously seeking efficiency improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled, unplanned and corrective maintenance on blow moulding equipment.
• Diagnose root causes, restore equipment to service promptly and implement cost‑effective improvements.
• Read and interpret electrical, pneumatic and mechanical drawings.
• Carry out basic automation fault finding and remediation.
• Complete preventive maintenance (PM), condition‑based maintenance (CBM) and continuous improvement (CI) tasks.
• Contribute to Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) activities when required.
• Identify and implement reliability and efficiency enhancements.

Required profile

• Completion of a recognised apprenticeship.
• HNC level education – Electrical preferred; Mechanical with additional electrical competence acceptable.
• Experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of IOSH/NEBOSH safety standards (desirable).
• Willingness to work a rotating 4‑on‑4‑off shift (2 days / 2 nights).
