Multi-skilled Labourer (Roofing)

About the role

We are looking for a multi‑skilled Labourer to join our busy repairs and maintenance team across Lancashire. The role involves supporting a variety of repair and improvement projects, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently and to the satisfaction of our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the completion of repair, improvement and maintenance tasks on residential properties.
• Communicate effectively with office staff, supervisors, managers and customers.
• Provide support to colleagues as directed by supervisors.
• Query jobs and liaise with office personnel to ensure accurate work orders.
• Adhere to health and safety standards, especially when working at heights.

Required profile

• Working knowledge of at least two trades, one of which must be roofing (e.g., joinery, plumbing, plastering, tiling, groundworks, glazing).
• Comfortable working at heights.
• Ability to work as part of a team and communicate with various stakeholders.
• Full awareness of relevant health and safety requirements.
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Experience in a housing association environment is desirable but not essential.
