Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

About the role

KP Snacks is looking for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join the Line Structure Team at its Billingham site. You will be responsible for keeping production lines running safely and efficiently, supporting both mechanical and electrical assets while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain mechanical and electrical integrity of equipment across the assigned area.
• Carry out planned maintenance, fault finding and repairs.
• Operate food manufacturing equipment and manage changeovers when required.
• Support and coach colleagues and apprentices to build engineering capability.
• Lead and contribute to continuous improvement activities using IWS tools.
• Monitor plant conditions, report defects and minimise downtime.
• Ensure high standards of hygiene, safety and housekeeping.

Required profile

• Experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work flexibly across 24/7 shift patterns.
• Strong problem‑solving attitude and willingness to share knowledge.
• Commitment to health, safety and quality standards.
