Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical focus to join a growing manufacturing business in Rochester. The role involves hands‑on work on automated production and packaging machinery, offering a mix of reactive and planned maintenance within a stable, long‑term environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform reactive and planned maintenance on production and packaging equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults, including PLC troubleshooting.
• Support continuous improvement projects and new equipment installations.
• Work on 4‑on‑4‑off shift patterns (12:00‑24:00, occasional 07:00‑19:00).

Required profile

• Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical bias and solid mechanical understanding.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment, including fault finding and PLC exposure.
• Relevant qualifications such as C&G, HNC, ONC, NVQ Level 3 or 17th/18th Edition wiring regulations.
