Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical Bias

About the role

MTrec is recruiting a mechanically‑biased Maintenance Engineer on a permanent basis for a client in the FMCG/high‑volume manufacturing sector. The role works a two‑shift system (6‑2 / 2‑10) and focuses on keeping production and site equipment running efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and service production and site facility equipment.
• Perform fault finding and diagnosis on plant machinery.
• Deliver timely remedial repairs to blending, production and other site equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and professional repair standards.
• Maintain high hygiene standards in engineering areas.
• Identify and resolve equipment or material issues promptly.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through a structured CI process.
• Implement minor project initiatives and support major site projects.

Required profile

• Minimum ONC qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in a FMCG or high‑volume manufacturing environment, preferably food or packaging.
• Proactive, problem‑solving attitude with the ability to work well within a close‑knit team.
