Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer – Night Shift

About the role

This full‑time night‑shift position supports a high‑precision manufacturing environment, ensuring machinery reliability and minimal downtime. You will work autonomously during night hours, maintaining strict health and safety standards while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on CNC and other manufacturing equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns, diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults, and restore equipment promptly.
• Support reliability and continuous‑improvement projects across the site.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures, including lock‑out/tag‑out and permit‑to‑work systems.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and assist with root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a manufacturing or precision‑engineering setting.
• Relevant engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, apprenticeship) in mechanical, electrical or multi‑skilled engineering.
• Strong mechanical background with the ability to perform electrical fault‑finding.
• Experience with PPM and reactive breakdown maintenance.
• Comfortable working independently on night shifts.
