Multi Skilled Operative

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Multi Skilled Operative to join our team in Milton Keynes. You will carry out a wide range of property maintenance tasks across social housing, ensuring high‑quality repairs and installations. This role offers the chance to make a tangible difference in the community by improving housing standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform responsive repairs in void and tenanted social housing properties.
• Replace or repair skirting boards, architraves, internal doors, handles, locks and hinges.
• Install and adjust kitchen units, worktops and cupboard doors.
• Identify and fix minor plumbing issues such as leaks, dripping taps and blocked sinks.
• Carry out patch plastering, wall and ceiling make‑good, and floor and wall tiling repairs, including grouting and sealing.
• Paint and decorate to a professional finish following repairs.
• Work safely, efficiently and to a high standard while respecting residents’ privacy.
• Record job details, materials used and completion notes using handheld devices or job sheets.
• Maintain tools, equipment and the company vehicle in good condition.

Required profile

• Core trade in flooring with proven experience in domestic repairs across multiple trades (carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, decorating).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent customer service experience in occupied homes.
• Good understanding of health and safety regulations and safe working practices.

What we offer

• Annual salary up to £37,428.13.
