Multi Skilled Operative – Property Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking a Multi Skilled Operative to join our Milton Keynes team, delivering high‑quality repairs and installations across social housing properties. You will work on void and tenanted homes, ensuring repairs are completed safely, efficiently and to a professional standard.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out responsive repairs in void and occupied social housing.
• Replace or repair skirting boards, architraves, internal doors, handles and locks.
• Install and adjust kitchen units, worktops and cupboard doors.
• Identify and fix minor plumbing issues such as leaks and blocked sinks.
• Perform patch plastering, wall and ceiling make‑good, and tiling repairs including grouting and sealing.
• Paint and decorate to a professional finish after repairs.
• Record job details, materials used and completion notes using handheld devices or job sheets.
• Maintain tools, equipment and company vehicle in good condition.

Required profile

• Core trade in plastering with proven experience in multiple domestic trades (carpentry, plumbing, tiling, decorating).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently, manage workload and meet service level targets.
• Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent customer service experience in occupied homes.
• Good understanding of health and safety regulations.

What we offer

• Annual salary up to £37,428.13
• Company van and fuel card
• 42.5 hours per week (Monday‑Friday, 8‑5)
