Multi Skilled Service Engineer

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position is based at a manufacturing facility in Shildon, County Durham, supporting the installation, commissioning and maintenance of purified water systems for pharmaceutical, medical device and health‑beauty clients across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out commissioning, routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Replace reverse‑osmosis membranes, filters and perform chemical cleaning of pressure vessels and rotating equipment.
• Set up and calibrate instrumentation, troubleshoot electrical circuits (12 VDC – 415 VAC) and resolve control system faults.
• Travel to client sites for installations and service visits, typically Monday‑Friday with occasional weekend travel.
• Document work in accordance with approved method statements and receive on‑the‑job training.

Required profile

• Qualified engineer (mechanical, electrical or instrumentation) with experience in industrial service roles.
• Background in pharmaceutical process equipment, especially purified water systems, is a distinct advantage.
• Ability to work independently and safely on unsupervised tasks.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours, including overtime.
