Multi-Trade Operative

About the role

We are seeking a Multi-Trade Operative to join our Maintenance Services team at Mount Green in Leatherhead. You will carry out a variety of repairs and maintenance tasks in customers’ homes, ensuring high‑quality service and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Perform responsive repairs, void works and property MOTs to a high standard.
• Diagnose faults and complete work efficiently within agreed timescales.
• Manage materials, van stock and order supplies as required.
• Use mobile PDA systems to update jobs in real time.
• Communicate clearly with customers about work and follow‑up actions.
• Work safely, carry out risk assessments and follow procedures.
• Support apprentices or colleagues when needed.

Required profile

• Experience in building maintenance or a skilled trade.
• Relevant qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds) or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of health & safety and safe working practices.
• Ability to manage workload and prioritise effectively.
• Good communication skills and a customer‑focused approach.
• Team player who can also work independently.
