Multi Trade Operative – Responsive Repairs

About the role

Fairhive Homes is seeking an enthusiastic Multi Trade Operative to join its Property Services team in Aylesbury. You will use your hands‑on trade expertise to improve residents’ homes and be the friendly face of the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect occupied and vacant properties to assess repair, maintenance or installation needs.
• Carry out repairs and installations across at least two of the following trades: carpentry, plastering, plumbing.
• Perform general trade work such as full house decoration, bathroom tiling, multipanel installation, patch plastering (up to 1 sqm), basic plumbing and basic carpentry.
• Ensure all work complies with current legislative and performance standards.
• Participate in an on‑call rota to respond to emergencies outside normal working hours.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent practical experience in at least two of carpentry, plastering and plumbing.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Strong organisational, time‑management and problem‑solving abilities.
• Basic IT competence.
