Multimodal Export Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Multimodal Export Supervisor to lead the export team at our Sunbury‑on‑Thames location. The role oversees multimodal freight operations, customs compliance and team performance in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, manage and motivate the export team to maintain high service standards.
• Oversee day‑to‑day export operations from booking through to delivery across air, road, sea and courier modes.
• Complete and supervise customs entries and CDS declarations ensuring compliance.
• Manage export documentation such as MAWB, HAWB and related customs paperwork.
• Use Multifreight to maintain files and follow ISO procedures.
• Resolve issues including delays, customs queries, port congestion and routing problems.
• Ensure accurate and timely handling of emails, bookings, documentation and invoicing.
• Collaborate with agents, shippers, consignees and internal departments.
• Monitor costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Support and motivate the team during busy and challenging periods.

Required profile

• Previous experience in export operations with team supervision or leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of air, road, sea and courier freight.
• Confidence in completing customs entries and CDS submissions.
• Good understanding of UK export procedures and compliance.
• Experience with Multifreight preferred.
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem‑solving abilities.
