Multiskilled Fitter

About the role

A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced multiskilled fitter/assembler to join a leading manufacturing company specialising in electrical solutions. Your core duties will be the fitting of various types of distribution and power units.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gather parts, sub‑assemblies, tools and materials.
• Assemble components, examine connections for correct fit, and fasten parts and sub‑assemblies.
• Maintain the highest level of workmanship standards and product quality, ensuring products are produced and delivered OTIF to customer requirements.
• Complete all paperwork associated with the work order.
• Perform area housekeeping activities, including reporting problems, shortages or equipment breakdown.
• Use general workshop machinery and hand tools related to the fitting role.
• Conduct quality inspection of colleagues’ output.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience working within a mechanical/electrical environment.
• Ability to understand schematics and drawings.
• Ideally apprentice trained or with equivalent experience.
• Good communication skills and health & safety awareness.
• Attention to detail.
