Multi‑Skilled HVAC Engineer – Commercial Sites

About the role

We are looking for a Multi‑Skilled HVAC Engineer to join a well‑established, growing business in South East England. The role involves installing, servicing, maintaining and repairing air‑conditioning, commercial heating and associated mechanical systems across a variety of commercial sites.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service, maintain and repair air‑conditioning and commercial heating systems.
• Diagnose faults on split, multi‑split, VRV and VRF equipment.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance in plant rooms and on site.
• Ensure all work complies with industry regulations, manufacturer specifications and health & safety standards.
• Complete service reports, commissioning records and certifications accurately and on time.
• Provide customers with clear explanations of faults, repairs and recommendations.

Required profile

• CITB Air Conditioning Qualification (or equivalent).
• REFCOM F‑Gas Certification.
• Commercial Gas qualifications (CDGA1, CIGA1, COCN1, CORT1, ICPN1, TPCP1A, CEN1/CENWAT).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Proven experience with split, multi‑split, VRV/VRF systems and commercial boilers.
• Experience working with mechanical controls, warm‑air and radiant heating systems.

Required skills

• Fault finding and diagnostic skills on a wide range of HVAC equipment.
• Knowledge of HVAC manufacturers and system types.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

What we offer

• Salary up to £45,000 per year, dependent on experience.
• 40‑hour week, Monday‑Friday, field‑based across Sussex (Crawley, Horsham, Worthing, Brighton & Eastbourne).
• Company van and tools provided (own hand tools required).
• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, pension scheme and ongoing training.
