Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer – 4 on 4 off

About the role

We are seeking a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a leading food manufacturing operation in North Kent. Working on a 4‑on‑4‑off roster, you will support production machinery by delivering both planned and reactive maintenance, helping to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance on production equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults promptly.
• Respond to breakdowns and perform reactive maintenance to restore operations.
• Support continuous‑improvement projects aimed at reducing equipment downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and comply with health & safety standards.

Required profile

• Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG/food production environment.
• Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving abilities.
• Relevant engineering qualification.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team on a shift pattern.
