Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer – Days Shift

About the role

We are seeking a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our engineering team at a large site in Plaistow, London. The role involves maintaining a variety of plant equipment across heavy industry, FMCG and food production environments, with a focus on fault‑finding and preventive maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive (PPM) and reactive maintenance on plant equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve faults on conveyors, belts, bearings, labellers, weighers, sensors, relays and drives.
• Carry out PLC fault finding (non‑programming) and support equipment reliability.
• Work on both refinery and packing areas, with training provided for packing operations.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault‑finding abilities.
• Experience in heavy industry, FMCG or food production sectors.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
