Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)

About the role

We are seeking a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join a large industrial company operating automated factories in South East England. The role works on a rotating early/late shift pattern and offers the chance to develop further qualifications while supporting a fast‑paced production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide reactive troubleshooting, repair and planned preventative maintenance for a wide range of production machinery.
• Assist with new equipment installations and refurbishments across the plant.
• Record maintenance activities and PPM data accurately in the CMMS system.
• Travel to off‑site training facilities and other group factories as required.

Required profile

• Minimum three years’ experience in a manufacturing or process environment.
• Completed Engineering Level 3 and 4 NVQ qualifications; HND or C&G equivalent is a distinct advantage.
• Self‑motivated, able to make quick decisions and work effectively with all levels of staff.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency with MS Office.

Required skills

• Experience with conveyors, boilers, packaging equipment, bearings and belts.
• Knowledge of 3‑phase motors, sensors, inverters, relays, contactors and PLCs.
• Familiarity with pneumatics, hydraulics and CMMS data entry.
