Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer – Electronics Focus

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer with a strong electronics bias to join our Bedford facility. You will work in a cleanroom environment, supporting a range of high‑spec equipment and ensuring production runs smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventative maintenance on electrical, electronic and mechanical systems.
• Diagnose and repair electronic faults, including PCB fault‑finding and soldering.
• Support production efficiency and minimise downtime.
• Manage stock of spare parts and consumables.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Maintain high health and safety standards, including proper PPE use.

Required profile

• Apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in a cleanroom or wafer‑fabrication setting (preferred).
• Strong PCB fault‑finding and soldering skills.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical/electronic schematics.
• Comfort working with motors, control panels, chemicals and PPE.
• Proactive, team‑oriented attitude and willingness to learn.
