Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer – Manufacturing

About the role

We are looking for a multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join a fast‑paced manufacturing site in Blyth. You will keep production machinery running smoothly through planned and reactive maintenance, supporting a dynamic engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and pneumatic faults during breakdowns.
• Support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives and maintain calibration schedules.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and create troubleshooting guides.
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability.
• Coordinate with external suppliers and contractors when required.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times.

Required profile

• Proven maintenance engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong fault‑finding abilities with mechanical and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of pneumatics and production machinery.
• Ability to prioritize urgent repairs and manage spare parts.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
