Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer – £53k‑£55k

About the role

We are seeking a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a leading FMCG manufacturing facility in Milton Keynes. The role involves both electrical and mechanical upkeep of production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and compliance with food safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on production machinery.
• Rapidly respond to breakdowns to minimise production loss.
• Diagnose and repair PLC‑controlled equipment.
• Support continuous improvement projects.
• Execute planned preventative maintenance schedules.
• Maintain safety and food manufacturing standards.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams.

Required profile

• Relevant electrical or mechanical qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Experience in food manufacturing or FMCG environments preferred.
• Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic abilities.
• Familiarity with conveyors, packaging machinery, motors, sensors and control systems.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced production setting.
• Knowledge of health & safety and food hygiene regulations.
