Multi‑Skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician

About the role

H.B. Fuller is seeking a Multi‑Skilled Mechanical Technician to support engineering and maintenance activities at its manufacturing site. The role focuses on mechanical systems while also providing support for electrical plant operations, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient equipment performance.

Key responsibilities

• Promote a strong safety culture and prioritize safety in all tasks.
• Perform mechanical maintenance and assist with electrical plant operations.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair pumps, motors, sensors, and other process equipment.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Use and maintain the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Coordinate maintenance work with production and plant supervisors.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory and order replacements as needed.
• Administer permit‑to‑work processes and oversee contractor safety compliance.

Required profile

• Engineering qualification in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience maintaining mechanical process equipment.
• Proficiency with CMMS and Microsoft Windows applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Preferred: experience in chemical, adhesives, batch processing, or fluid‑handling industries; knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, welding, machining; familiarity with diaphragm pumps and ATEX‑regulated environments; history of leading maintenance or process‑improvement initiatives.
