Multi‑Skilled Operative – Building Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking motivated Multi‑Skilled Operatives to join a leading building maintenance organisation delivering planned maintenance for residential properties across the UK. You will work on occupied homes, providing a professional, courteous service while completing a range of trade tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out carpentry, plumbing, plastering, painting & decorating, tiling and basic electrical works.
• Respond to routine repair requests and emergency call‑outs.
• Communicate clearly with tenants about the work, timescales and any disruption.
• Ensure all work complies with building regulations, company policies and health & safety procedures.
• Complete jobs correctly the first time to minimise follow‑up visits.

Required profile

• Proven experience across multiple trades, preferably in social housing or domestic settings.
• Full UK driving licence.
• NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in a core trade such as carpentry, plumbing or plastering.
• Strong focus on customer care when working in occupied properties.
