Music Teacher – Maternity Cover (Full-Time, Fixed-Term)

About the role
We are seeking a passionate Music Teacher to join a secondary school in the Tandridge area of Surrey on a full‑time maternity cover basis starting in September. The role involves teaching Music to Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils, with the possibility of supporting Key Stage 5 where needed.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess engaging Music lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Contribute to the department’s wider activities, including concerts, performances and extracurricular clubs.
- Maintain a positive classroom environment and uphold school behaviour standards.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Music in a UK secondary school.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire students.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents.
- High expectations for achievement, behaviour and engagement.
