Music Teacher – Secondary School (Accrington)

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Music Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Accrington. The role starts immediately, is full‑time and will run at least until the end of the summer term, with the possibility of extension.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Music to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, creative lessons covering both practical and theoretical aspects.
• Inspire pupils through a variety of musical activities and performances.
• Monitor and assess student progress in line with school expectations.
• Contribute to the wider creative and performing‑arts provision within the school.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Music in a UK secondary school.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Commitment to a long‑term placement (full‑time).
• Early‑career teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply.
