About the role
We are seeking a passionate Music Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Havering. The role involves delivering engaging music lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering students' creativity and musical development. You will become an integral part of a supportive department committed to high standards of teaching and learning.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high‑quality Music lessons for Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils.
- Inspire students to develop skills in music theory, performance and composition.
- Monitor progress, provide constructive feedback and support achievement.
- Contribute to the wider life of the Music department and school community.
- Maintain high expectations of behaviour, effort and academic standards.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Music in a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and genuine enthusiasm for music education.
- Ability to deliver creative lessons to students of varying abilities.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Committed, reliable and enthusiastic professional.
