Music Teacher – Secondary School (KS3/KS4) – Ellesmere Port

About the role

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a qualified Music Teacher to join a secondary school in Ellesmere Port. The role starts in September and involves delivering the KS3 and KS4 music curriculum, covering a planned staff absence until Christmas 2026 with a possible extension to the February half‑term.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging music lessons for KS3 and KS4 students.
• Support and contribute to the wider performing arts department.
• Provide continuity of teaching during the planned absence period.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and assessment.

Required profile

• Eligibility to work in the UK (passport or birth certificate).
• Up‑to‑date CV covering at least ten years of education or employment experience.
• Enhanced DBS certificate (cost reimbursed) or willingness to obtain one.
• Qualified to teach at M1 to UPS3 levels.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 music curriculum.
• Ability to deliver high‑quality music instruction to secondary‑age students.
• Effective classroom management and assessment skills.
