About the role
We are seeking a caring and engaging Music Teacher with QTS or QTLS to join a thriving secondary school in St Albans. The position starts in September 2026 and offers the chance to contribute to a department that consistently exceeds national performance benchmarks.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver the Music curriculum across key stages, ensuring alignment with departmental goals.
- Maintain pupil focus and motivation during lessons.
- Introduce innovative ideas and resources to enhance the music programme.
- Serve as a form tutor, providing pastoral support to a designated group of students.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS).
- Proven experience teaching music in a secondary school setting.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to keep pupils on task.
- Based in or near St Albans, or willing to commute.
