National Account Manager (FMCG)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced National Account Manager to join a fast‑growing FMCG business in Halstead. Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will own key customer relationships across Retail and Foodservice channels, driving sales growth and supporting the company’s commercial strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement customer plans aligned with business objectives.
• Manage and grow existing accounts in Retail and Foodservice.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities.
• Lead commercial negotiations to maximise sales, profit and operating income.
• Oversee pricing agreements, payment terms and trading conditions.
• Produce annual account plans and forecast customer demand.
• Support NPD and EPD projects and ensure successful project delivery.
• Maintain accurate account records, visit reports and project documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a commercial professional within FMCG.
• Strong track record of managing key customer relationships.
• Ability to identify growth opportunities and drive profitable sales.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Collaborative mindset to work with internal departments and customers.
