National Business Development Manager – Property Sector

About the role

Our client is seeking a National Business Development Manager to drive growth across the built environment sector in the UK. The role will focus on identifying new opportunities, building strategic client relationships and delivering commercial results nationwide.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the property and construction market.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients through networking, referrals and targeted outreach.
• Establish relationships with key decision‑makers and understand client requirements.
• Create and execute strategic sales plans for specific sectors and geographic areas.
• Achieve agreed commercial sales targets through proactive business development and pipeline management.
• Onboard new clients and ensure smooth hand‑over to internal delivery teams.
• Represent the company at client meetings, networking events and industry exhibitions.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and industry developments to inform growth strategies.
• Maintain accurate records and provide regular updates on pipeline and activity.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development, sales or commercial growth roles.
• Strong relationship‑building and networking abilities.
• Demonstrated success managing a sales pipeline.
• Confident communication with senior stakeholders and decision‑makers.
• Commercially aware with a proactive approach to winning new business.
• Excellent organisational and planning skills.

Required skills

• Good IT proficiency.
• Experience using CRM systems.
