Network & Communications Installation Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Network & Communications Installation Engineer to join our team on high‑end residential projects. Working closely with the Project Manager and engineering teams, you will design, configure, commission and deliver sophisticated network and telecom systems for premium client homes.

Key responsibilities

• Consult on network and telecom design, ensuring alignment with client requirements.
• Configure, install and commission network hardware, wireless infrastructure and fibre‑optic solutions.
• Perform Wi‑Fi coverage analysis, heat‑mapping and LAN controller setup.
• Manage SIP and IP telephone systems, WAN traffic management and path selector configuration.
• Configure firewalls, conduct fault finding and produce accurate project documentation.
• Coordinate with other contractors, monitor progress and report to the Project Manager.

Required profile

• Strong communication and client‑facing skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and maintain high quality standards.
• Experience in supervising or mentoring junior engineers.
• Attention to detail and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Required skills

• CCNA certification.
• Wireless network deployment and management.
• LAN controller configuration and commissioning.
• SIP and IP telephone system expertise.
• WAN traffic management tools (Kerio, Peplink, Sophos, Cisco).
• Wi‑Fi coverage analysis and heat‑mapping.
• Firewall configuration and implementation.
• Fault finding and commissioning of telecom equipment.
• Use of hand tools and network/telecom test equipment.
• Microsoft Word, Excel and MS 365 suite.
