Network Construction Manager

About the role

Bristol Water is looking for a Network Construction Manager to lead a multi‑disciplinary team that delivers essential water network construction services. Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will be responsible for the performance, safety and compliance of repair, maintenance and new connection activities across the network.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure health & safety of all employees and contractors under your control.
• Manage technical interfaces between the Network function and internal/external stakeholders.
• Lead performance management for dig teams, plumbers, specialists and support operatives.
• Maintain compliance with street‑works regulations and minimise customer risk.
• Resolve customer complaints promptly and provide daily performance reports.
• Drive continuous improvement and contribute to policy and process development.
• Oversee depot operations, site standards and material replenishment processes.
• Participate in a 24/7 operational standby rota and build relationships with local authorities.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in network construction or utilities operations.
• Strong understanding of health & safety, compliance and street‑works regulations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to analyse performance data and implement improvements.
