Network Engineer – 3‑Month Contract in Newcastle

About the role

We are seeking a Network Engineer to join a three‑month, outside‑IR35 contract supporting a large‑scale network transformation and infrastructure upgrade in Newcastle. Working closely with a Lead Consultant, you will help pre‑configure, deploy and troubleshoot networking equipment across multiple communications rooms.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the pre‑configuration and deployment of Juniper, HPE and other networking hardware.
• Support on‑site installations, including patch‑panel migrations from legacy to new environments.
• Collaborate with the project team to troubleshoot and resolve issues during rollout activities.
• Document configuration changes and maintain accurate records of equipment deployments.

Required profile

• Proven experience on network transformation or migration projects.
• Strong hands‑on knowledge of Juniper networking solutions.
• Experience with HPE networking equipment is highly desirable.
• Comfortable working on‑site in a fast‑paced deployment environment.
