Network Engineer – Hybrid (New Milton)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join a leading digital technology solutions provider in New Milton. The position is full‑time, permanent and offers a hybrid working model, supporting mission‑critical services for vulnerable people across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain resilient network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, VLAN, Wi‑Fi, DNS, DHCP and routing.
• Provide advanced support for complex network and connectivity issues using tools such as Wireshark, SIP tracing and packet capture.
• Support and maintain mission‑critical SIP/VoIP communications and digital connectivity services.
• Manage firewalls, VPNs and network security controls to ensure a secure and highly available environment.
• Monitor network performance, capacity and availability, proactively identifying improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with ISPs, telecommunications partners and third‑party suppliers to maintain service levels and deliver enhancements.
• Offer technical guidance to customers and external stakeholders on network connectivity and system integrations.
• Assist the transition from analogue infrastructure to modern All‑IP networking solutions.
• Create and maintain high‑quality technical documentation, network diagrams and operational procedures.
• Contribute to continuous service‑improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with industry standards and data‑protection requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Network Engineer, Network Administrator or in a similar networking role, preferably within telecommunications, managed services or a technically complex environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of IP networking technologies such as TCP/IP, SIP/VoIP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls and cloud networking.
• Hands‑on experience configuring and supporting enterprise‑grade network infrastructure.
