Network Operations Engineer – Systematic Quant Fund

About the role

The successful candidate will join a global quantitative investment manager’s infrastructure team, responsible for operating and evolving the firm’s network infrastructure and automation platform. The role focuses on maintaining high‑availability, reliable, and secure network services that support low‑latency trading and data‑intensive workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve incidents across Low‑Latency LAN, Datacentre LAN, WAN transit and cloud/internet connectivity.
• Develop and maintain observability tooling, dashboards and self‑healing, event‑driven automations.
• Conduct post‑incident reviews, define SLOs and drive continuous improvement of alerting and reliability.
• Deliver BAU changes through automation, collaborating with research and other engineering teams.
• Perform trend and capacity analysis using multiple data sources.
• Release network changes into production, reviewing merges and scheduling pushes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in monitoring and incident resolution for high‑performance network environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work with vendor support teams.
• Experience creating and refining monitoring dashboards and alerting strategies.
• Track record of automating operational tasks and delivering infrastructure‑as‑code solutions.
• Ability to define and manage service level objectives for network services.
